Service Technician – Marine 2-Stroke Engines & Auxiliary Equipment (M/W/D)

Location: Szczecin, Poland Travel: 60–80% worldwide

We are a specialized marine service company delivering maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting services for 2-stroke main engines and ship machinery worldwide.

To strengthen our field service team, we are looking for a Service Technician with strong practical skills, technical understanding, and a hands-on mindset.

Your Role: Get the Job Done

As a Service Technician, you are the backbone of our field operations — working directly on engines and equipment, ensuring reliable performance under real-world conditions.

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on 2-stroke engines and auxiliary systems
  • Disassemble, inspect, overhaul, and reassemble engine components
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault finding under guidance or independently
  • Support measurements, clearances, and adjustments according to maker's instructions
  • Work closely with Superintendent Engineers and team leaders on-site
  • Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Provide clear feedback and basic reporting after service jobs
  • Travel worldwide to ships, shipyards, and ports

Your Profile

You are practical, reliable, and ready to work where it matters.

Technical Skills

  • Experience in mechanical service, ship repair, or similar technical field
  • Basic understanding of diesel engines, machinery, or hydraulics/pneumatics
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions

Work Approach

  • Strong hands-on mentality and willingness to work physically
  • Reliable, structured, and quality-focused
  • Ability to work in teams and support senior engineers
  • Capable of working independently when required

Communication

  • English is mandatory (working language on board and internationally)
  • Basic reporting and communication skills

What You Bring

  • High flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (60–80%)
  • Ability to work in challenging environments (onboard vessels, shipyards)
  • Strong team spirit and work ethic
  • Motivation to learn and develop technical skills

Qualifications

  • Technical education (mechanic, mechatronics, marine engineering, or similar)
  • First experience in service, maintenance, or repair work is an advantage
  • Experience in the marine industry is beneficial but not mandatory
