Marine 2-Stroke Consultant & Service GmbH is a leading consultant and service provider for marine machinery equipment, established in 2023 through strong cooperation within the international shipping industry. Our passion, expertise, and tradition are the foundation of our high-quality services.

Our team's extensive know-how is rooted in long-standing experience with MAN, Mitsubishi, Sulzer, Wärtsilä, and WinGD 2-stroke engines in various technical and operational roles. Throughout the years, we have built close business relationships with engine designers, manufacturers, shipowners, and operators worldwide. Furthermore, our team has sailing experience and practical knowledge in machinery operations, as well as experience from engine builder factories and ship repair yards.

Our experience base includes regular maintenance, complex engine repairs, engine recovery projects, engine and machinery assembly and commissioning, remote and on-site troubleshooting, damage assessment, operational and technical consultancy, engine efficiency optimization, retrofits, and upgrade solutions for marine propulsion and auxiliary systems. Our team also has extensive experience in on-site and back-office project management, including logistics, coordination, and general arrangements for large repair and retrofit projects.

MTCS is represented by Mr. Thomas King, Managing Partner, Co-Founder, and a highly engaged team of experienced marine professionals. Mr. King brings more than 17 years of experience within Wärtsilä 2-Stroke Services, where he started his career as a Field Service Engineer before advancing through several management and leadership positions. His professional background includes heading Wärtsilä 2-Stroke Technical Services in Northern Europe and later taking global responsibility for 2-Stroke Technical Services and Field Services activities worldwide.
