About Us
Marine 2-Stroke Consultant & Service GmbH (MTCS) is an internationally operating company specialized in worldwide service and technical support for large marine 2-stroke engines. Our experienced team of engineers and technicians provides reliable and efficient solutions both on board vessels and onshore worldwide.
To strengthen our service team, we are looking for a motivated Junior Field Service Coordinator who will support the organization and coordination of service operations and act as an interface between customers, service engineers, and internal departments.
Your Responsibilities
Service Planning Support
- Coordination and scheduling of international service operations in close cooperation with customers and service engineers
- Support in the preparation and organization of travel arrangements, visas, flight bookings, and hotel reservations
- Preparation and maintenance of deployment schedules and project overviews
Communication & Coordination
- Point of contact for customers, suppliers, and service engineers before, during, and after service operations
- Support in clarifying technical and logistical details in cooperation with the technical department
- Follow-up and monitoring of service orders and related documentation
Documentation & Administration
- Recording of orders, reports, and feedback in the ERP system
- Support in preparing service reports, quotations, and invoices
- Management of project and service-related documentation
Process Support
- Participation in optimizing internal service processes
- Support to the spare parts department in organizing materials required for service operations
- Follow-up of completed projects and support in evaluations and reporting
Your Profile
Technical education, for example as:
- Industrial Mechanic
- Mechatronics Technician
- Technical System Planner
- Marine Engineering Technician
- Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering
- or a comparable technical profession
Alternatively: commercial education with strong technical interest (e.g. industrial clerk or logistics/shipping clerk with technical background).
Initial professional experience in service coordination, deployment planning, project handling, or technical customer service is advantageous — motivated career starters are also welcome.
- Technical understanding and interest in marine equipment, mechanical engineering, or industrial systems
- Good written and spoken English skills, confident use of MS Office
- ERP knowledge (e.g. SAP, Navision or similar) is considered an advantage
- Independent, structured, and responsible working style combined with strong communication and organizational skills
